Sami's 8th Birthday!

Sami finally turned 8! She has gotten so big (well more in attitude than size really)! She chose a pig cake this year, which was a first for me, but I think it turned out super cute. We had to move her party up at the last minute due to the oncoming snow storm but most of the girls were still able to come and they had a great time. I even got to use my birthday banner - made by my sis-in-law Kim. Sami loved it (and so did I)! Isn't it cute?

Winter Fun 2009

The girls and I had our annual cookie day. We need to start making our cookies more often because they have soo much fun! After our first round of snow (we just had a couple feet) I took them sledding. The best part was hearing them scream at the bottom when they ended up in a mud puddle!

Mystery Meal....

Monday evening Jenny & I were both working on homework. So David was kind enough to take care of dinner. This is how I came to learn about Mystery Meal Night! Unfortunately I can't say it was the most positive experience! He mixed together all kinds of "stuff" he found. The look on Jessica's face was hilarious, so was the part when she spit it out...LOL Thank goodness for frozen pizza is all I have to say!

Black Friday!!!

Jenny, David, Zach, & I got up and braved the crowds to participate in the Black Friday shopping deals. It was a pretty successful trip and then Kim arrived! It was so nice to be able to see her and spend a couple days with her. We went to Chuck E Cheese that night to celebrate Jenny's niece's birthday (but Kim & I snuck out to Olive Garden for dinner) and then we went to see New Moon!

Thanksgiving

David's sister-in-law's mother was kind enough to invite everyone to her house for Thanksgiving dinner. David's other brother, wife & 5 kids were also visiting so there was quite a large group. The food was delicious and the kids had fun making smores over the bonfire.

Turkey Trot

Went to my first ever Turkey Trot while in Washington for Thanksgiving. It was pretty cool. Sarah Palin was suppose to be there and we waited forever to see her, but only saw her mother, apparently she ducked out early - darn it! There were some interesting characters - like banana man!

October

October....went to a Fall Festival, carved pumpkins, and went to the church Halloween party. Lots of fun....

More Birthdays...

The Walsman kids are some of my favorites to babysit. Kaylee and Sami's birthdays were in September and we celebrated at this really fun farm, with all their cousins, in Viriginia. It was a lot of fun, even though we did end the day with sunburns and an allergy attack for Zach (who's allergic to...well...everything!)
